The Devil's In The Detail
For the R34 model we have used a quilted pattern for the dial base, along with sunken, contrasting lateral sub-dials, applied 12 index and name plate, and raised outer chapter ring. The hour and minute hands of the R34 are sword profiles, with a ridge running along the middle and polished to a mirror shine. This gives us contrast for the hands to reflect the environment, catching light on either of the facets.
Each sub-dial features one of two hand styles - the running second hand matches the polished main hour and minute hands. For the Chronoscope functions, the sub-dial and timer second hands are painted in a separate style to differentiate them. It’s subtle and perhaps, to some, imperceptible - but it’s there for a reason, and that’s the Marloe way.
The R34 sports a waffle-textured dial in the same colour as the skin of its namesake airship - a stunning and unique blue-green hue.
Radial sub dials at 3 and 9 complement the waffle dial, and a subtle yet eye-catching date window completes the design with black print of brushed metal date wheel.
Faceted bezel meets brushed, angular edges and brightly polished, smooth steel surfaces; the design of the case allows the Atlantic to nestle into the wrist thanks to the aggressively angled lugs, each one faceted to catch the light.
The inimitable, beefy powerhouse that is the NE88a offers both a power reserve of 45-hours and a timing mechanism built within the chassis to give a 12-hour chronoscope function.
Our watches are produced in small batches and each watch is finished with a unique serial number - which you can choose using the drop down list above.
“I received my Atlantic R34 a couple of weeks ago, so impressed with the quality - a fantastic looking watch. It is right up there with watches what are much more expensive.”
“What a great watch. Surpasses expectations by a mile. Price, delivery, packaging, presentation and the final experience of wearing the watch, perfect.”
“I purchased this watch as a birthday present to myself. Absolutely astounded by the quality and looks of this beautiful timepiece.”
The Atlantic range traverses flight through the ages, from the first one-way hop across the Atlantic Ocean by Alcock & Brown, to the first solo Atlantic crossing by Lindbergh, each colourway celebrates each milestone.
For the R34 model we see a direct inspiration derived from the deep blue-green skin covering the airship, coupled with contrasting sub-dials and outer ring. It exudes pioneering spirit and feels era-appropriate for the early 20th century flight.
To Soar into the Sky
To soar into the sky and float aloft in the wind, peering down on the world below, knowing that, if you so wished, you could touch the stars.
Welcome to the Atlantic Chronoscope, borne from a love of flight, inspired by the pioneering spirits that risked life and limb to achieve it.
The case of the Atlantic measures 43mm in diameter with 22mm lugs - giving the watch great presence on the wrist. From caseback to crystal the watch measures 15mm thick, whilst the 50mm lug-to-lug sizing complements the case perfectly.
