Awakening the Senses

Awakening the Senses

Whether it’s stealing 10 minutes of peace or a full day adventuring out in the wild, spending time outside never fails to uplift. We’ve been thinking about time lots recently, as we’re developing an exciting new partnership land&water and Another Place.

Born on the shoreline, land&water is a new British natural bath and body brand which evokes that warm glow after time in the elements.

A blast of fresh air, a break from the everyday: for land&water founder Pix Ashworth, relaxation is about so much more than a candlelit bath. “It’s about awakening the senses with day-seizing moments, as much as resting adventure-tired limbs,” she says. “Relaxation can be an increased heart-rate, if it’s an experience that makes you feel more alive and resets your headspace. Time outside makes us feel better inside.”

This blend of invigoration and calm is at the heart of the land&water collection, which captures this emotion with a blend of buoyant, exhilarating citrus and serene, green and woody notes. Bursting with pure essential oils and botanical actives, the collection ranges from body wash and hand care to balms, scrub, lotions, oils and home fragrance.

Land & Water

Pix’s family hotel, Watergate Bay Hotel, set on a wide sandy bay on the North Coast of Cornwall, and its sister hotel, Another Place - on the shores of England’s second largest lake, Ullswater - poured ample inspiration into land&water’s philosophy, lifestyle and culture. Sparked by years of enjoying a lifestyle of ‘active relaxation’ and witnessing the warm glow of guests coming inside after days well spent, Pix set about capturing its essence - to, literally, bottle it.

From the sustainable, vegan ingredients they select, to their small batch, made in the British Isles philosophy and 100% post-consumer recycled bottles, land&water wants to minimise their impact on the environment they love. In everything they do.

Another Place, The Lake

Right on the shores of Ullswater, the second largest lake in England, Another Place is a contemporary 47-bedroom hotel inspired by its stunning location. Set in 18 acres of Lake District National Park, with a private lakeshore and views over Ullswater and the fells, it’s the ideal place to explore the wilderness, swim beneath a full moon, eat and drink well, relax and have a good time. A stay at Another Place all about getting outdoors into nature; being on, in and around the lake; before drinks, fires, games and good food with family and friends.

Another Place
