"Courage is not being fearless" - words spoken while pushing and breaking the boundaries of physics and human endeavour, Donald Campbell was no stranger to challenges of extreme engineering and danger. The Coniston is inspired by its namesake lake, where Donald and his father Sir Malcolm Campbell set numerous water-speed records.
In 1967, Donald Campbell achieved a top speed of over 320 miles per hour on the return leg of a record-breaking attempt - he then lost control of Bluebird, which somersaulted and crashed. Campbell sadly lost his life.
“An elegant time piece that is already being talked about as a new family heirloom.”
“From the moment of opening the box right through to seeing it on his wrist, the experience could not have been better.”
“Bought for my husband. He loves it! Looks very expensive. Great attention to detail.”
